Slitting
Slitting machines are used to divide calendered mother rolls into smaller electrode coils, known as daughter rolls, through a precise separation process. Typically, the mother rolls are manually transported to the slitting station, where rolling knives cut the wide electrode coil into narrower sections. After cutting, the daughter rolls are cleaned using suction or brushes and then rewound in a roll-to-roll process. The key quality criteria include the precision of the electrode edges and the cleanliness of the coils. The cutting width of the daughter rolls varies based on cell design, typically ranging between 60 mm and 300 mm to meet specific application requirements.
